Ashkhabad

In 2013, the Aviation Authorities of Turkmenistan approved the Safegate equipment (Idman) and SIA “Energosintez 2006”, as a supplier and installer of the equipment for the new surfaced runways at the airports of Ashkhabad (Category III) within the years 2013-2016 as part of a government airport modernization program.
In August 2013, we began working on equipping the new airfield complex of two runways and terminal aprons at Ashkhabad Airport with the latest ADB-Safegate LED equipment (Idman) according to ICAO Category III terms.

In 2014, the South Terminal of Ashgabat Airport was put into peration.

In 2015, the South Runway of Ashkhabad Airport was commissioned, which was equipped in compliance with ICAO Category III terms, including the remote control system for lighting equipment (SafeControl ™) and the intelligent individual control and monitoring lights system (ASP ™). The lighting complex of the South Runway included:
— more than 3500 LED lights with address internals
— cable lines with a total length of 350,000 meters
— 55 dimmers at two light substations

In September 2016, the Northern part of the project was equipped and put into operation which included:
– The main terminal complex
– Northern Runway which was commissioned in compliance with the terms of ICAO Category II, including lighting remote control system (SafeControl ™) and intelligent individual control and monitoring lights system (ASP ™). The lighting complex of the Northern Runway included:
– more than 4000 LED lights with address internals
– cable lines with a total length of more than 450,000 meters
– 57 dimmers at two light substations

On September 17, 2016, the grand opening of the New Ashkhabad International Airport (IATA code: ASB) took place. This facility is equipped with the latest lighting navigational aids with due regard to the advanced technologies and the latest technical solutions.
